The stories that could be promoting your program are walking out the door

Great founders come through your program with every cohort. Some go on to build remarkable companies. A few become the alumni story your program is known for. But capturing their stories looks like:

  • Forgotten Demo Day footage
  • Last-minute videographer scrambles
  • Unanswered calls to alumni who've gotten too busy

Your strongest marketing assets are sitting in every cohort, but their stories aren't helping you.

Spend your time on founders. Leave the storytelling to us.

Picture your week looking like this: you spot a founder with a story worth telling. You pass their name to the Goodtrepreneur team. That's your part.

From there, the interview gets scheduled, recorded, and edited. You get back polished, ready-to-use assets that elevate your program in front of the groups who matter:

  • Founders considering your next cohort
  • Investors evaluating your portfolio
  • Community partners deciding whether to renew
You get to spend your time where it matters most: talking to your founders, shaping their success, and running your program.

Goodtrepreneur is a founder storytelling service built specifically for accelerator programs. We interview the founders coming through your program, capture the stories worth telling, and turn them into performance content that recruits your next cohort, attracts investors to your portfolio, and proves your impact to the partners funding your work.

Most video production companies show up with a camera. We show up with a journalist's instinct for the story underneath the story, and an investor's instinct for what makes a founder worth backing. That combination is why founders open up. It's why the clips get watched. And it's why the content keeps working for your program long after the interview is over.

"Steve has been an invaluable connector for both my company, Base, and for me personally as a founder. He's incredibly quick to respond and consistently makes thoughtful introductions that have opened meaningful doors for us. There have been countless times where he has kept us top of mind and proactively connected us to the right people at the right moment. Meet Goodtrepreneur founder Steve Hayton

Steve Hayton is a journalist and entrepreneur who moved to the US from the UK, drawn by the entrepreneurial courage baked into the American story.

As Chief Experience Officer at GVN, he designed and delivered founder-focused curriculum to accelerator and venture studio leaders across the globe.

What program directors and founders consistently say about working with Steve:

He's warm and genuinely curious about the people he interviews
He believes deeply in founders and their ideas
He's driven to help founders tell the stories they don't always know how to tell themselves

That combination is why founders open up to Steve on camera. It's why investors pay attention to the content. And it's why the stories Steve captures keep working for the programs he partners with, long after the interview ends.

There are two costs to consider:

What you keep spending.

The videographers. The agency retainers. The marketing budget you're stretching. Goodtrepreneur replaces those line items with content that does the recruitment, fundraising, and renewal work for you.

What you lose by waiting.

  • One sponsor who doesn't renew because you couldn't prove impact.
  • One cohort that comes in weaker because applicants didn't see the founders they wanted to be.
  • One unicorn alumnus whose story you'll never get on the record.
A story about a missed opportunity — and what it cost

A program director recently told Steve about a founder who came through their cohort and went on to build a unicorn. By the time the program tried to reach out and capture that story, the founder was too busy to even return the call. A piece of the program's history, and one of the strongest proof points it could ever have, was gone.

Now think about your own program.

How many of your alumni founders are already too busy to give you the time it takes to capture their story properly? How many are one funding round away from being unreachable?

We tell the stories of where your founders go — not just where they started. Even alumni whose startups didn't make it are often making a bigger impact than ever. We help you capture that.

What happens once you book a strategy call

The strategy call with Steve Hayton takes 30 minutes. By the end, you'll know whether Goodtrepreneur is the right fit for your program, and if it is, you'll have a clear path to get performance content created for your program.

Here's what the strategy call covers:

  1. Your goals. What you're working toward — recruitment, fundraising, sponsor renewal, or all three.
  2. Package selection. Which of the three packages fits your program's stage, budget, and timeline.
  3. Founder discussion. Which founders in your program are best suited to tell the story you need told.
  4. Scheduling and delivery. When interviews happen, how they're scheduled, and when you can expect edited content in your hands.

After the call, you'll get a written recap and a proposal tailored to your needs.

Questions program directors ask

Common questions

A videographer hands you files. Steve draws out the story your founder doesn't realize they're carrying, frames it for the audiences your program needs to reach, and delivers content built to perform, not just footage. Programs hire Goodtrepreneur when they need stories that work for them long after the camera turns off.

It depends on the package. Founder Features is a one-time engagement with no commitment. Follow the Founder is two engagements within a six-month coverage period. The Proof Engine is an ongoing engagement with a six-month minimum.

Most founders are, until they sit down with Steve. Decades of journalism experience means he knows how to make an on-camera conversation feel like a regular one. Program directors often tell him, "I never knew that about them," after he's spoken with their founders.

Less than you'd expect. Once you've selected your package and identified the founders you want interviewed, your job is to make introductions and stay informed. Goodtrepreneur handles scheduling, production, editing, and delivery. The Proof Engine package adds full content management, so you don't even handle content distribution.

Travel is separate from your service fee. We pass it through at cost, with no markup. You'll see exactly what travel costs on your invoice, and nothing is added to it.

Yes. Every package uses six interviews as the standard unit so you can compare across tiers, but the actual number can be adjusted in your strategy call based on your program's size and goals.

You do. Once Goodtrepreneur delivers the content, it's yours to use however your program needs — website, social, sponsor decks, recruitment campaigns, investor updates. There are no licensing fees or repurposing restrictions.

A stronger program starts with stronger stories

Your founders are living stories worth telling right now. Goodtrepreneur captures them, frames them for the people you want watching, and turns them into the recruitment, fundraising, and renewal asset your program is missing.

It all starts with a 30-minute strategy call with Steve Hayton.
